The government’s Low Carbon Buildings Programme provided grants towards the cost of installing microgeneration technologies. While the LCBP is no longer active, the technologies eligible for grants included:
- Air source heat pumps
- Ground source heat pumps
- Solar Photvoltaic PV
- Wood fuelled heating (Biomass)
In addition to these technologies, three other technologies were considered for funding but withdrawn due to shortages of certified installers and products. These technologies included:
- MicroCHP (Combined heat and power)
- Fuel cells
- Renewable CHP
- Wood Fuelled Heating
Homeowners and building owners interested in applying for grants were required to use installers and products certified by the Department of Energy and Climate Change’s Low Carbon Buildings Programme. Please contact one of our listed suppliers for advice on current grants available.
