When it comes to designing a functional and attractive family home, this home designed by Barnes Design have definitely got it right.
We’ve often found that finding something to cater to both the kids and adults can be tricky. Finding a relaxing place for parents to unwind as well as a playroom haven for the children in the same home isn’t that common, as most designers can struggle to find the perfect balance.
However, if you’re looking to renovate your family home (or could just do with some inspiration!), we’re sure that you’ll love this South London home just as much as we do…
Entrance, Living and Dining Rooms
As we can see in the images above, this family home has combined gorgeous interior design with the homes’ existing features. The staircase has been transformed and feature spotlights to give a luxury feel, whilst the living room combines a fluffy rug with large sofas to give the a really cosy, family vibe.
Kitchen
Designing a kitchen that is suitable for both casual and formal family dinners isn’t an easy job, but this designer has got it spot on!
High gloss white panels cover the kitchen cupboards to make the kitchen look and feel clean, whilst the dark surfaces provide a great contrast that’s easy on the eye. There’s also a hidden wine rack inserted into the central island!
Bedrooms
In our opinion, the best rooms in this house are the bedrooms. We love how the designer has carried the same colour scheme through to the main bedroom, as well as providing the children’s bedroom with a grown-up design that any little girl is sure to love!
Bathroom
Again, we can see that the same clean, crisp and modern colour scheme is taken further and implemented into the bathroom design. The standalone bath looks stunning beneath the window and it looks like plenty of natural light is able to serve the room.
Garden
Every family home needs a good garden. From using it to host summer parties to simply providing the kids with an area to play and explore, we love the protruding grass section that is featured in the middle of the bright white edging.
